This painting is of a Cuban Amazon Parrot also known as a  white-headed Amazon, Cuban Parrot, Bahamas parrot, Cayman Island Amazon and in the states for the lucky few that happen to have them as a houseguest, Jackie, Jake, Willy .......    This darling  medium-sized green parrot can be found in the forests and woodlands  of Cuba the Bahamas and the Cayman Islands.

This sweetie has made the endangered list. The highest percentage of birds in the wild are probably on the Cuban Island itself and many are kept as companion birds there also. They are said to be great talkers.
